Baruch was born in 1943 to a Jewish family in Boston Massachusetts. His family immigrated to Israel in 1953, where he was converted to Christ while serving in the army in 1963. He worked with Christian Witness to Israel from 1974 to 2005 and pastored Grace and Truth Christian Congregation in Israel from its founding in 1976 to 2008. He is the founder of HaGefen Publishing, devoted to producing Reformed and Evangelical expository, theological and devotional literature in Hebrew. Some of his writings have been translated into English, Dutch and Polish. Baruch is a friendly critic of the Messianic Movement
Bracha was born on March 7 1948 to a Jewish family that immigrated to Israel from war-ravaged eastern Europe. She was converted to Christ in 1965 and has been alongside Baruch, sharing his hopes, longings and burdens since they courted in 1965.
They were married on January 18, 1969, in what turned out to be the first Jewish Christian wedding in modern Israel. In addition to mothering three daughters, Avital, Shlomit and Tamar (all now married, with children and living in the US), and caring for Katya and Rose, who were informally fostered, she managed an open home in which hundreds slept, ate, prayed, enjoyed fellowship and known themselves to be welcome. Her cooking is notoriously excellent.
In March 20202, Bracha and Baruch relocated to the US, to give their three daughters and their families the remainder of their years,. Bracha continues to run an open home and increase her reputation as warm-hearted and generous hostess while functioning as a busy, much-loved grandmother to nine grandchildren.
Baruch continues to write. He travels to minister in Israel ever 12-18 months and in cases of national emergency. He is available for preaching in the US and elsewhere.
